The owners of the Galleria at White Plains are looking to reshape its future as a mixed-use commercial and residential site.\u00a0The owners, Pacific Retail Capital Partners (PRCP) and Aareal Bank, announced Thursday they are taking the first step by forming a joint partnership with SL Green Realty Corp. and the Cappelli Organization, two of the prominent players in the White Plains and New York City metro real estate market.”We’ve been hoping for this for a long time,” White Plains Mayor Tom Roach said Friday.\u00a0He said there is no proposal yet, so specifics on what the project might entail are not yet available. Still, he anticipates it would involve demolishing the Galleria and building a new structure on that site.\u00a0“It’s going to be complex, but I think it’s a real opportunity to get us toward the downtown we all envision,” Roach said.<\/p>
